Nae-Nae

This little girl is Renee. She is one of the first kids I met when I was diagnosed. She was in the Los Angeles Children's hospital battling ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia). Her mom and my mom because instant friends and we quickly grew to love Renee and her family.
Renee had a long, hard battle but was always still giggly and happy. She always had a smile that could light up any room and a laugh that warmed your heart.
Renee unfortunately lost her battle to Leukemia at her home in her mother's loving arms. Renee's mother is one of the strongest women I know! She had two more children after Renee died and their house is full of angels and sweet memories of their precious, little girl. She was the sweetest, happiest little girl I have ever been blessed to know, and I told her mother that one day if I was blessed to have a little girl, she would be named after Renee. So, my Nikki Renee will always have an angel on her side.
Love you Nae-Nae!!!

Light The Night Walk RAFFLE

For those of you who don't know, I am a survivor of Acute Myelocetic Leukemia. I was diagnosed when I was 10 years old with the rarest form on Leukemia in children and was given 6 weeks to live. Because of my miraculous journey, I try to give back in any way that I can every year. I was first introduced to the Light The Night walk for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in Las Vegas in 2003 and raised $2,500 for my team. This year, my wish is to surpass that number!!!

I have contacted several businesses in my community and have been overwhelmed by the response. As you can see, we have put together some AMAZING prize baskets that you simply CANNOT turn down!!

There will be THREE winners of THREE different baskets full of FABULOUS prizes!

For your first entries you MUST go to my Fundraising page,

!DONATE HERE!

(if the link doesn't work, copy and paste the following address into your URL)

This gorgeous girl is my new friend! She and her mother were an absolute blast to shoot with! And, can I just say thank you one more time to the UBER talented, Becki Crosby from Whippy Cake! Her office/workspace is almost as adorable as she is, definitely inspiring! Thank you for making Aubri feel extra beautiful that day!
Aubri told me that I could share her story with you and I would love to do just that. This is her story in her words!
"I was diagnosed when I was six years old with a disorder called FAP.  It causes polyps in the body, mine were highly populated in the intestines. They decided to take my large intestine 5 years ago, and they said hopefully this would elliminate the chance for cancer. Well, recently I went to the hospital and they had found a tumor the size of a grapefruit in my small intestine. the tumor was caused by FAP, that only a small percentage encounter with the disorder. They quickly decided tha6t they could not take anymore of my intestines witout going on a colostomy bag. The next best thing was to perscribe a light dose of chemo, for a year. Eight months has gone by and I am almost done! thank goodness. This trial has really shown me what im made of and changed my outlook on life. life is fragile and it truly is a precious gift. I am so grateful for this trial because it has put many many great people in my path that i am lucky to share my life with. ;) "
